Explaining my job is difficult, I suppose technically it is second/third line IT and network support but effectively that means I’m involved in everything from troubleshooting desktop issues to planning and deploying server systems and services along with everything in between.
In practical terms I ‘do’ Linux and Windows server and desktop administration, just about every flavor of database you can imagine from Access to Oracle and a bit of very ugly but functional vb and bash scripting. You can expect to see quite a wide variety of posts on subjects that may or may not be related, I just hope some of this stuff is useful for other people too.
In addition to all this I’m what I suppose would be termed a ‘lay’ preacher in our church and studying for a qualification in Biblical Theology so expect some posts on related subjects there.
