We’re often encouraged to live like Christ. To love like him, to be holy like him, patient, kind and just, but we can’t do it in our own strength. It’s a noble goal but we’ll never be able to be like Christ, we just can’t do it; because of our sinful nature we fail. But what if we choose to let Christ live through us minute by minute, hour by hour; to allow God’s love to shine through us to others even when we’re filled with anger and hatred, then we will be like him. Instead of showing our own damaged emotions we can show the unconditional love of God.
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
